Hydraulic tensioner Before replacing any Front End Accessory Drive components, please check Accessory Drive belt routing as per engine sales code. Customer complaints may include a noise coming from under de hood described as a squeal, screech, squeak, chirp or "belt related" noise and/or noisy tensioner/pulley. Please check Service Library for any STAR Online publications that may apply. Note: If it is found that the pulleys and/or tensioners are to blame for the noise please use an stethoscope or similar tool to determine the origin of the noise and include it in the narrative.
