About RecallGazette

RecallGazette is an independent recall-intelligence site. We pull recall records from the official U.S. federal databases — NHTSA vehicle campaigns filed since 2000 and CPSC product recall notices published since 2023 — refresh the data daily, and organize it so you can answer three questions fast: is my stuff affected, how serious is it, and what do I do next.

Data sources

• NHTSA — the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recall database (vehicle safety recalls). We ingest the full official flat file, updated by NHTSA every business day, and currently cover campaigns filed since 2000.
• CPSC — the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall API (consumer products: furniture, appliances, toys, tools, and more). We currently cover notices published since 2023.

What we are — and what we are not

We are not a government agency and are not affiliated with NHTSA or CPSC. Recall records are published by manufacturers and federal regulators; we republish and organize them with a clear source link on every page. Before acting on any recall, verify the details in the linked official notice — remedy programs occasionally change after announcement.
