Official summary
Some 2022-2023 Bronco Sport and Maverick vehicles built on 04-Sep-2022 and through 30-Dec-2022 may exhibit the engine not restarting after an auto start/stop event with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P164C stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). The malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) may also become illuminated after the vehicle experiences a second event before it can be brought in for service.
