Official summary

Some 2024 F-150 Lariat/XLT/XL trim level vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine may exhibit a condition where the right side turbocharger will enter an overspeed condition, causing turbocharger damage and may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with DTC P0299:00 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to the upper air deflector deforming and restricting the intake air to the turbocharger. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the upper air deflector.

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
