Official summary

66RFE Transmission Slip Under High Engine Load And Premature Wear This bulletin involves inspecting the torque converter build date and if necessary, replacing the torque converter. A small number of torque converters were manufactured with the oil grooves on the internal friction discs too wide. This may result in the transmission slipping under heavy loads causing premature wear.

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
