Official summary
Flash: Vehicle Theft Alarm Intermittently Sounds This bulletin involves reprogramming the Intrusion module with new software and adding double sided tape to secure the module. The customer may experience the theft alarm siren turning on for no reason. This could be caused by the overhead console not retaining the intrusion module in place as well as it should. With the module not properly secured and with temperature changes, the wiring stiffens and relaxes moving the module. This set?s off the alarm. Reprogramming the module is to improve sensor stability that makes it less sensitive to moveme

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
