Official summary
This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have a Check Engine Lamp or Service Vehicle Soon lamp on after charging. If the technician finds Diagnostic Trouble Codes P16C4 or P16C5 set in history, the Hybrid Powertrain Control Module will need to be reprogrammed. If the Diagnostic Trouble Codes are current or return and the Hybrid Powertrain Control Module and the Battery Charger Control Module have the current calibrations then processed to follow published Service Information diagnostics.
