Rear Door Rattle Noise This bulletin involves testing left rear door lower latch operation and if necessary, replacing the rear door center striker in addition to the upper and lower rear door latches. The customer may describe a rear door rattle noise and/or a rear door lower latch not working properly. An example of a properly functioning latch (1) and malfunctioning latch (2) are shown in (Fig. 1).
