Official summary

Emissions Recall R02 VECI Label A non-applicable Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label was inadvertently installed on about 4,000 of the above vehicles. The VECI label on complete vehicles (also known as without cab chassis) with a 3.0L diesel engine incorrectly states that the vehicle does not have Onboard Diagnostics (OBD). The VECI labels on incomplete vehicles (also known as cab chassis) equipped with either a 3.6L gasoline engine or a 3.0L diesel engine indicate an incorrect maximum curb weight. A new VECI label must be installed over the vehicle?s original VECI label.

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
