Official summary
Some 2017-2018 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine built on or before 6-Dec-2017 may exhibit an exhaust odor in the vehicle cabin. This may be due to a leak at the turbocharger inlet clamps. Performing a pressurized smoke test on the exhaust system will aid in locating the source of a leak. While performing the smoke test, the use of a small mirror can help identify leaks underneath the clamps. Refer to the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual Pinpoint Test KA, Step KA3. Note that the turbo charger is not a contributing factor in the exhaust leak issue.

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
