This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have Service Engine Soon Malfunction Indicator Lamp on and a reduced engine power after cold starting their engine when the ambient temperature is approximately ? 10 Fahrenheit (-23 Celsius). Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Codes P1516, P2101, P2119, and/or P2176. Technician may find some vehicles may have an oil leak from the front or rear crank seal, cam cover gasket, or dipstick tube as well.
