Official summary
Some 2016 c-max and focus electric vehicles may exhibit a false activation of the alarm system. A work around until the software is updated(4th qtr. 2016), procedure is available. 1. Put the vehicle in park. 2. Take your foot off the brake pedal and keep it off. 3. Turn the vehicle off (push button start/stop. 4.exit vehicle and lock the doors to activate the alarm. Note: if the brake is touched after turning the key off then just turn the car on again and start this procedure again.
