Official summary
Some 2017 f-super duty vehicles with dual generators may exhibit an illuminated charging light and/or charging warning message after an upfitter has removed one of the generators. To correct this concern, use integrated diagnostic system (ids) service tool version 104.02 or later to configure the generator setup. These settings can be found under toolbox> module programming >programmable parameters> powertrain.
