Official summary
Some 2017 f-super duty vehicles may be equipped with an optional upfitter interface module (uim), also designated as a generic function module 2 (gfm2). If replacement of this module is required, the data originally installed on the module by the upfitter will also have to be restored by the upfitter. Engineering is working on a web solution to allow dealers access to the upfitter programming so they can program the data from the upfitter back in to the replacement module.
