Official summary
This preliminary information communication provides information to the technician about the oil pan on a re-manufactured high feature v6. Engines re-manufactured after 2016-february-1 were built with the incorrect oil pan. If the engine is built with a 12638371 fwd oil pan and should have a 12592105 rwd oil pan. Technician will replace the oil pan with the pan from the original engine or a new pan if the original is unusable.
