The defect

Prevost Cars (US) Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2021-2023 X3-45 Commuter buses. The foldable passenger seat frames may have been improperly welded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

The risk

An improperly welded seat frame may not adequately restrain the passenger, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
