The defect
Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC (Heartland) is recalling certain 2022 Sundance trailers. The 12-volt mini breaker cover for the slide-out was not installed during production, leading to exposed studs that may cause electrical arcing.
The risk
Electrical arcing between the exposed studs and nearby aluminum ducting can increase the risk of fire and injury.

Dealers will inspect the 12-volt mini breaker for the slide-out, and install a cover if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 21, 2022. Owners may contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032.
