The defect
ON CERTAIN TRANSIT BUSES EQUIPPED WITH CATERPILLAR C9 DIESEL ENGINES, INJECTOR O-RING FAILURES CAN RESULT IN OIL BEING DISCHARGED THROUGH THE VALVE COVER.
