Bulletin applies to 1996 vehicles equipped w/ a 2.0l engine (avenger/ sebring/talon built prior to nov. 10, 1995 mdh (11-10-xx)) (neon built prior to nov. 14, 1995 mdh (11-14-xx)). Intermittent rear o2 sensor fault, diagnostic trouble code (dtc) #129 w/ malfunction indicator light (mil) illumination. Repair involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the powertrain control module (pcm) w/ new software (calibrations changes).
