Official summary
The memory seat feature which is available as an option for 1996, conains a soft stop protection feature. These stops will be set when the seat comes in contact with any object that interferes with it's travel, stalling the motor. The stops will be set in the memory of the module, and will limit the seat travel to the point that the interference occurred until the stop is reset. There are five motors which operate the power seats. Soft stop can be set in any direction for all five motors and more than one stop can be set in same direction of travel.
