The hood switch used to provide input for the hood ajar warning indicator in the vehicle information center and for the vehicle theft alarm has been deleted from production for 1996 vehicles built after august 29, 1995 (mdh 08-29-xx). Do not attempt io install switches on vehicles built after that date.
