Official summary

Recall campaign 95-c-35 - general motors has determined that certain early production 1995 4-door jimmys have a condition which could result in fuel leakage in certain high speed frontal collisions. If one of these vehicles, with a substantial amount of fuel in the tank, were involved in a frontal collision at speeds higher than those specified by federal safety standards a hole in the bottom of the tank could occur resulting in fuel leakage. To correct this condition, dealers are to apply a seal and cover to the exterior of the tank bottom. *tw
