Official summary
Mercedes-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain subject vehicles, the engine control unit software may not correspond to current production specifications. The control unit may experience a delay in detecting an intake manifold leak while driving in hybrid mode. Subsequently, this may cause a delay in the activation of the Malfunction Indicator Lamp intended to alert the driver of the leakage. MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will update the engine control unit software.
