This Preliminary information communicates an issue where some customers may comment on a Forward Collision System Unavailable Message, shown below, after the vehicle has been parked in direct sunlight with high ambient temperatures (typically above 100 degs F/38 degs C). The front view camera's normal operating temperature range is -30 deg F to 185 deg F (-34 deg C to 85 deg C) and if the cameras internal temperature is outside this temperature range it will shut down to protect itself, which is normal operation.
