Official summary
Some customers may complain about a bark, hoot, crunch, chirp, honk noise during 1-2 shift while accelerating from a complete stop. This shift noise may be caused by improper hydraulic pressure control of the automatic transmission. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the TCM has been modified.
Vehicles covered
What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
