Official summary
Some 2023 Escape/Corsair vehicles equipped with 1.5L/2.0L engines may exhibit a harsh engagement after auto start/stop feature restarts the engine. Ford is aware of the concern and this condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and a software solution for this condition is expected by the 2nd quarter of 2024. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule a service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.
