Some 2024 Ranger vehicles may exhibit a condition where the fuel gauge reads half full after re-filling while the distance to empty reading is accurate. This concern happens when the fuel tank is overfilled past 100% and the gauge will read accurately once the fuel tank reaches 99% capacity. This is normal operating characteristic and replacement or reprogramming the instrument panel cluster (IPC) or fuel pump and sender unit will not resolve this condition.
