Official summary
Some 2024 Mustang vehicles are equipped with a clear protective film layer affixed to the top surface of the rear lamps. This protective film layer helps reduce incremental signs of contact and should not be removed/discarded. In the event the clear protective film layer were to become damaged or inadvertently removed, service kit (PR3Z-13420-C) has been released to help address this condition. Follow the instruction sheet included with service kit (PR3Z-13420-C) for proper installation/adhesion of the clear protective film layer to the rear lamp substrate.
