Official summary

his article supersedes TSB 22-2446 to update the Service Procedure. Some 2021 Mustang Mach-E vehicles built on or before 07-Jul-2021 may experience Frunk System Fault Service Required message displayed in the IPC after performing body control module (BCM) update. This may be due to the software in the BCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the SYNC module (APIM), BCM and front trunk release module (FTRM). NOTE: The APIM software update that addresses the symptom listed in this article may have been delivered over-the-air (OTA) via Ford Power-Up software update

Vehicles covered

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
