Official summary

Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine, and built on or before 02-May-2023, may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) U029D, U029E, U02A1, U02A3, P2209, P24D0, P22A7, and/or P23B5. This may be due to a wiring chafe on harness 14406 near connector C146 touching the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler on the right side of the engine. Before performing normal diagnostics, inspect 20 amp fuse F18 (position 26). If fuse F18 is found open, inspect the 14406 harness for contact with the EGR cooler and repair as necessary. R

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
