Official summary
This Preliminary information communicates that a vehicle may come to the dealer with a complaint of a dead battery or cruise control inoperative. The technician is instructed to actuate the brake pedal multiple times in an attempt to duplicate the concern. If it can be duplicated a BPP learn should be performed and if it is duplicated after that, the brake pedal assembly should be replaced. If the concern cannot be duplicated the technician is instructed to perform a BPP learn procedure.
