Official summary
Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles may set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCS) U3035 and/or U3036 in the powertrain control module (PCM) during a diagnostic self-test. These DTCS set when the PCM detects an authentication failure after key initialization (U3035) and/or while the PCM continues to monitor DTC (U3036) during the transition of the controller area network (CAN) bus entering sleep mode. U3035 and/or U3036 should be ignored if: no other DTCs are present in the PCM, the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is not illuminated while the engine is running, and no drivability concerns are present.
