Official summary

PITSTOP: PARASITIC BATTERY DRAW/ALARM WARNING W/ ILLUMINATED DOOR SILL PLATES ACCESSORY - This Pitstop provides information regarding a parasitic battery draw concern on some 2020-2022MY Sportage (QL) vehicles equipped with Illuminated door sill plates accessory installed (LH and RH sides), which may cause the battery power to drain, and in some cases exhibit the alarm system/horn warning to sound off.

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
