Official summary
Some 2020-2022 Aviator Hybrid vehicles may exhibit an illuminated MIL and a Stop Safely Now message with only DTC P1A0C stored in the PCM. This may be due to the software in the battery energy control module (BECM). The condition occurs when the vehicle is started when the charging cord is connected. To prevent the condition from occurring, disconnect the charger prior to starting the vehicle. If the charger is not disconnected before starting, the ignition will need to be cycled before driving. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working o
