OIL LEAK AT REAR OF TRANSMISSION SERVICE INFORMATION When diagnosing an oil leak at the rear of the transmission on an applied vehicle, follow the SERVICE PROCEDURE in this bulletin to determine if the origin of the leak is at the rear extension seal, or at the pressed-in plug of the propeller shaft sleeve yoke (Figure 1).
