Official summary

Certain 2020-2021 Model Year Escape 2.5L HEV PHEV Vehicles Reprogram Powertrain Control Module (PCM) In some of the affected vehicles, it may be possible that the TMAP (Temperature Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor may ice over while driving in cold temperatures for extended periods of time. An iced over TMAP sensor may cause the check engine light to illuminate with diagnostic codes P1A0C, P2282, or P0106 in the PCM (powertrain control module). These codes may lead to the PCM disabling the engine and a Stop Safely Now message appearing in the instrument cluster

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
