Official summary
During manufacturing, the gauge control module software installed did not meet specification and there are two potential issues: The gauge control module adds mileage to the odometer when the OFF mode is selected (Touring and Elite only). The gauge control module loses communication with the HDS or may not transfer the odometer mileage and maintenance minder information when replacing the gauge control module. There is one software update that will repair one or both of the issues affecting your vehicle.
