On Friday, January 29, 2016, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. notified NHTSA of a stop sale and safety recall for certain 2016 Civic vehicles due to potentially missing or mis-set piston pin snap rings that may cause engine stall or failure. Then on February 9, 2016, American Honda added additional VINs to the affected list.
