Some 2021 Bronco Sport equipped with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine may exhibit a Check Charging System message and/or illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) U012D, U0284,and/or U042E. This may be caused by water intrusion into connector C202. Prior to performing Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics, inspect the C202 connector for signs of corrosion or water residue.
