Official summary

On some Model S vehicles equipped with air suspension, a front-end rattle noise might come from behind the IP carrier when traveling over road transitions at low speed. For example, the noise might be heard when traveling from a driveway to a street, or from an asphalt surface to a concrete surface. The noise is generated from a normal mechanical operation that has no detrimental effect on the vehicle.

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
