2011-2012 LEAF; 24 KWH TYPE 1 BATTERY PACK GASKET INSPECTION SERVICE INFORMATION When servicing a 24 kWh Type 1 battery pack, the gasket between the upper and lower cases should be reused/reinstalled, unless it is visually damaged and/or fails the air leak inspection. ï · Only replace the battery pack case gasket when necessary. ï · To confirm that the battery pack case is air tight, follow the 24 kWh Service Procedure Inspection instructions, for air leak inspection, starting on page 2. NOTE: This bulletin does not apply to service replacement battery packs that are sealed with a liquid ureth
