Official summary

Owner Notification Letter - Some 2017-18 CR-V vehicles equipped with the 1.5 liter turbocharged engine may experience driveability issues. This may result in Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) P0300 (random misfire detected), P0301 (No. 1 cylinder misfire detected), P0302 (No. 2 cylinder misfire detected), P0303 (No. 3 cylinder misfire detected), P0304 (No. 4 cylinder misfire detected), or P0172 (fuel system too rich) or a whirling noise coming from the engine compartment. These concerns may result in the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) turning on.

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
