B38 Engine: Mixture Faults Stored in DME and Cylinder Head Cover Leaking Engine Oil. Engine oil leak (1) from the front edge of the cylinder head cover where it meets the cylinder head (2). In some cases the cylinder head cover gasket material may be bulging out from between the cylinder head cover and cylinder head mating surfaces. When the cylinder head cover is removed, the cylinder head cover gasket material is damaged (1) near the crankcase ventilation drains (2) or the bolt holes (3).
