Official summary
Some customers may complain about an unpleasant odor (such as one may notice with a home freezer) coming from the A/C in hot weather (95°F / 35°C or above). This could be caused by improper control logic for the climate control unit that leaves the A/C compressor on too long and results in a frozen evaporator and an unpleasant odor. To correct this issue, the control logic for the climate control unit has been modified. NOTE: This TSB is not for musty/mildew odors. For those types of odors, refer to TSB for AIR CONDITIONING MUSTY / MILDEW ODOR.

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
