Official summary
NHTSA announced in a press conference today, the planned expansion of the airbag inflator recall to an additional 35 to 40 million vehicles from various manufacturers nationwide. We are currently assessing which of our models may be covered. We hope to make that determination soon. When specific vehicles are identified, owners will be notified plus vehicle identification numbers (VINs) can be researched on Subaru.com or on the NHTSA web site Safercar.gov.
