Flash: Transmission Shift Enhancements This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Transmission Control Module (TCM) with new software. The customer may indicate that they may have experienced any of the following: ? Harsh 2 - 1 downshift ? Delayed shifts while shifting from neutral to drive, neutral to reverse or park to reverse ? Audible squawk noise while the truck is shifting from 4-3 ? Poor vehicle acceleration in first gear while fully loaded In addition to any of the previous, dealers may identify a P253D "PTO SENSE CIRCUIT HIGH? stored in the TCM?s memory.
