Tech Tips (Oil Consumption Testing): This document informs of the expected rate of consumption of oil in a vehicle. It informs of the procedure to determine engine oil consumption, and possible causes for excessive engine oil consumption. The document also informs that a procedure for oil consumption testing is available in the Repair Manual under Non-DTC Based Diagnostics, and gives a example of where the information is.
