Official summary

The armrest will not operate in any direction. The height adjustment of the armrest will not engage or remain in position, or may become stuck in one position during height adjustment. If the armrest slides past its limit and the rods are pulled out of the armrest , it is because the retention of the bracket is insufficient. The armrest bracket is under tension because the guide plate has fallen loose from the bracket or the return spring has slipped from its original position.

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
