Official summary
Some vehicles may exhibit one or more of the following symptoms with the manual transmission. A grinding noise occurs when the transmission is shifted from 1st to 2nd and/or from 2nd to 3rd gear or in the neutral position with the engine idling. It is impossible to shift into 2nd and/or 3rd gear while there is no problem shifting into other gears. This may be caused by damage to 2nd and/or 3rd gears if the vehicle was driven with rapid acceleration and deceleration using frequent shift changes.
