This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that after installing a reman High Value V6 engine it has rough running, idle surge, misfire on one or both banks of the engine concern. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Codes P0300, P0011 and / or P0016. Technician will need to check the actual engine oil pressure. If oil pressure is within the specifications above, perform all testing listed in PIP4345A including a visual inspection of the camshaft position actuator filter and repair or replace as necessary.
